Nursing workload and quality of care in the emergency service at the Hospital Félix Mayorca Soto de Tarma, 2023

Abstract

The workload and the quality of care in the emergency service are presented daily and could be perceived with greater notoriety at the time of the pandemic, there the lack of professional personnel, infrastructure, biomedical equipment, as well as emergency equipment was noted. protection for personnel that were insufficient, all this to provide an adequate quality of care. Faced with this situation, a research study was carried out whose objective is to determine how the nursing workload influences and the quality of care in the emergency service at the Hospital Félix Mayorca Soto de Tarma, 2023. It is a study with a quantitative approach, with a hypothetical deductive method, its design is descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional, the population consists of 80 nurses who work in the emergency service of the Hospital Félix Mayorca Soto de Tarma, 2023, who will participate developing two instruments: a 40 item questionnaire for the workload variable, which consists of four dimensions, and another 29 item questionnaire for the quality of care variable, which contains five dimensions. The data will be collected through these instruments to later be statistically processed by the SPSS 25.0 program and presented in tables and figures according to our objectives.

Objetivo: Determinar como la carga laboral de enfermería influye en la calidad de atención en el servicio de emergencia. Material y método: la investigación responde al método hipotético – deductivo, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, con el tipo de investigación aplicada, el estudio es de nivel explicativo , la población constituyente es de 80 enfermeros del servicio de emergencia del Hospital Felix Mayorca Soto , Tarma, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta con un un cuestionario de 40 ítems para la variable carga laboral el cual consta de cuatro dimensiones y otro cuestionario de 29 ítems para la variable calidad de atención que contiene cinco dimensiones. Los datos se recopilarán a través de estos instrumentos para después ser procesados estadísticamente por el programa SPSS 25.0 y presentados en tablas y figuras según nuestros objetivos, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach obteniendo un valor de 0,885.
