Burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the adult intensive care unit at the Ricardo Palma Clinic, October 2021

Abstract

Intensive Care Unit nursing staff always present mental and physical wear and tear, which affects their mental health, which is why they are more likely to present with the syndrome, since they work with critically ill patients and this influences their mental wear and tear. and makes them vulnerable to this syndrome. Aim: Determine the level of Burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the adult intensive care unit of the Ricardo Palma Clinic 2020. Methodology: This research has a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach; we will work with 32 nurses from the Adult Intensive Care Unit of the Ricardo Palma Clinic, who sign the informed consent. The Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire will be applied, which contains three aspects of Burnout syndrome: Emotional Exhaustion. Depersonalization and Personal Realization.

El personal de enfermería de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos siempre presenta un desgaste mental y físico por lo que se ve afectada su salud mental, por lo que están más propensos a presentar el síndrome, ya que laboran con pacientes críticas y ello influye en su desgaste mental y los vuelve vulnerables a este síndrome. Objetivo. Determinar el nivel de síndrome de Burnout en el personal de enfermería de unidad de cuidados intensivos adulto de la Clínica Ricardo Palma 2020. Metodología. La presente investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y de corte transversal, se trabajará con 32 enfermeros de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Adulto de la Clínica Ricardo Palma, que firmen el consentimiento informado. Se aplicará el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory que contiene tres aspectos del síndrome de Burnout: Cansancio Emocional. Despersonalización y Realización Personal.
