Adherence to treatment and quality of life of the patient undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Lima - 2022

Abstract

Objective: Identify the relationship between treatment adherence and quality of life of the patient undergoing hemodialysis therapy at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital in Lima. Methodology: The type of research will be applied, quantitative approach, observational design, correlational level, and cross-sectional. Population and Sample: The representative sample will correspond to 80 patients, determined by convenience through non-probabilistic and non-random sampling. The corresponding instruments will be applied to this sample in the period from October to November 2022. Technique and Instruments: The technique to be applied will be the survey and the instruments will correspond to the questionnaires for evaluating therapeutic adherence, and quality of life (Health Survey-SF36), which have been modified and adapted to our environment for the population with kidney involvement, which have a Cronbach's Alpha reliability equivalent to 0.85 and 0.83 respectively. Data processing and analysis: The data will be recorded in an Excel template for classification and control, being processed, and the existing relationship between the variables treated in the research will be established, through the Chi Square statistical test by counting the study with qualitative variables.

Objetivo: Identificar la relación entre la adherencia al tratamiento y la calidad de vida del paciente sometido a terapia de hemodiálisis en el Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo de Lima. Metodología: El tipo de investigación será la aplicada, el enfoque cuantitativo, el diseño observacional, de nivel correlacional, y de corte transversal. Población y Muestra: La muestra representativa corresponderá a 80 pacientes, determinada por conveniencia mediante el muestreo no probabilístico y no aleatorio. A dicha muestra se le aplicará los instrumentos correspondientes en periodo comprendido de octubre a noviembre del 2022. Técnica e Instrumentos: La técnica a aplicarse será la encuesta y los instrumentos corresponderán a los cuestionarios de evaluación de la adherencia terapéutica, y calidad de vida (Health Survey-SF36), los que han sido modificados y adaptados a nuestro medio a población con afectación renal, los mismos que cuentan con una confiabilidad de Alfa de Cronbach equivalente a 0,85 y 0,83 respectivamente. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: La data será consignada en una plantilla excel para su clasificación y control, siendo procesada, y se establecerá la relación existente entre las variables tratadas en la investigación, por medio de la prueba de estadística de Chi Cuadrado por contar el estudio con variables cualitativas.
