Comparison of deflection force in three types of nationally marketed orthodontic arches

Abstract

The general objective of this research was to compare the deflection force in three types of orthodontic arches from national brands: Morelli, Orthometric, and Aditek. The following methodology was used: the type of research is basic, with a deductive, quantitative approach, a quasi-experimental, prospective, and cross-sectional design. The variable was measured only once, and the study is analytical. The population consisted of the three types of orthodontic arches from the brands Morelli, Orthometric, and Aditek, totaling 45 arches, with the sample consisting of 15 orthodontic arches from each brand. The main conclusion was that the difference in deflection force between the three orthodontic arches is significant (p> 0.05), with differences in their averages in the following order: Aditek arch (4.469), Orthometric (4.461), and Morelli (3.77) Mpa, respectively.

El objetivo general de esta investigación fue comparar la fuerza de deflexión en tres tipos de arcos ortodónticos de comercialización nacional marca Morelli, Orthometric y Aditek. Se utilizo la siguiente metodología: Tipo de investigación según su función es básico, método deductivo, cuantitativo, con un diseño cuasi experimental, prospectivo, transversal, de tal forma que se medirá a la variable por única vez y analítico, la población estará determinada por los tres tipos de arcos ortodónticos de la marca Morelli, Orthometric y Aditek siendo en total 45 arcos, la muestra estará constituida por 15 arcos ortodónticos de cada marca. La conclusión principal fue que la diferencia de la fuerza de deflexión en los tres arcos ortodónticos es significativa (p> 0.05), existiendo diferencias en sus promedios en el siguiente orden, arco Aditek (4,469), Orthometric (4,461), y Morelli (3,77) Mpa respectivamente.
