Spiritual well-being and its relationship with resilience in patients with breast cancer treated at the Santa Rosa hospital, Lima 2022.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between spiritual well-being and resilience in breast cancer patients treated at the Santa Rosa Hospital, Lima, 2022.

Materials and methods: The approach was quantitative, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational design. The sample consisted of 131 breast cancer patients, selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the study. The instruments used were the spiritual well-being scale and the resilience scale, both validated in Peru. The spiritual well-being scale includes 21 items with 2 dimensions, while the resilience scale consists of 25 items grouped into 5 dimensions. A constant was determined by dividing the estimated population by the obtained sample, resulting in an approximate value of 3. Based on this, patients were selected with an interval of 3 until the calculated sample size was reached.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relaciona entre el bienestar espiritual y la resiliencia en pacientes con cáncer de mama atendidos en el Hospital Santa Rosa, Lima 2022 Material y métodos: El enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional. la muestra se conformó por 131 pacientes con cáncer de mama, siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la escala de bienestar espiritual y escala de resiliencia, ambas validadas en el Perú.Bienestar espiritual comprende 21items con 2 dimenciones. Resiliencia 25 items agrupados en 5 dimensiones. Para ello se determinó una constante, dividiendo la población estimada entre la muestra obtenida, resultando en un valor aproximado 3. en base a ello, se seleccionó pacientes con un intervalo de 3, hasta llegar a la muestra calcula.
