Knowledge and practice on exclusive breastfeeding that mothers of children under six months have in a Barranca hospital, 2020

Abstract

This work has a quantitative approach, the research design is descriptive; transversal because it develops at a certain moment, making a cut in time; whose objective is to identify the level of knowledge of mothers of children under six months about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding in a hospital in Barranca 2020. Regarding the technique for data collection, it will be the interview, in order to achieve information with evidence, precise and effective that helps solve the formulation of the problem and objectives of the research. The instrument is a structured questionnaire that was reviewed by experts composed of closed questions to identify knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding, prepared by Yeny Rita Bautista Hualpa with 30% modifications in the questionnaire in her study: KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICES OF BREASTFEEDING IN MOTHERS OF CHILDREN UNDER SIX MONTHS WHO ATTEND THE BAGUA HEALTH CENTER, 2014, consists of 14 items whose dimensions are time of start and end of exclusive breastfeeding, sucking time, importance, reasons and benefits of feeding breast milk. The sample of this study will be the same because it is a finite or small population, being 115 mothers of children under six months. Simple random non-probabilistic sampling. During this process, ethical aspects will be respected and the privacy and intimacy of the participating mothers will be taken into account, ensuring reliability and confidentiality.

Este trabajo es de enfoque cuantitativo, el diseño de investigación es descriptivo; transversal porque se desarrolla en un momento determinado, haciendo un corte en el tiempo; cuyo objetivo es identificar el nivel de conocimiento de las madres de niños menores de seis meses sobre beneficios de la lactancia materna exclusiva en un hospital de barranca 2020. En cuanto a la técnica para la recolección de los datos, será la entrevista, a fin de lograr obtener una información con evidencias, precisa y eficaz que ayuden a resolver la formulación del problema y objetivos de la investigación. El instrumento es un cuestionario estructurado que fue revisado por expertos compuesto por preguntas cerradas para identificar el conocimiento de lactancia materna exclusiva, elaborado por Yeny Rita Bautista Hualpa con un 30% de modificaciones en el cuestionario en su estudio: CONOCIMIENTOS Y PRÁCTICAS DE LACTANCIA MATERNA EN MADRES DE NIÑOS MENORES DE SEIS MESES QUE ASISTEN AL CENTRO SALUD BAGUA, 2014, consta de 14 ítems cuyas dimensiones son tiempo de inicio y fin de lactancia materna exclusiva, tiempo de succión, importancia, razones y beneficios de alimentarlo con leche materna. La muestra del presente estudio será la misma por ser una población finita o pequeña, siendo 115 madres de niños menores de seis meses. El muestreo no probabilístico aleatorio simple. Durante este proceso se respetarán los aspectos éticos y se tomara en cuenta la privacidad e intimidad de las madres participantes asegurando la confiabilidad y confidencialidad.
