Quality of care and patient satisfaction in hemodialysis treatment, in a hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The study is developed around the patient undergoing hemodialysis treatment both in their care and in their satisfaction with the service, which is key because this satisfaction indicates the quality of the service, in addition to motivating them in compliance with their treatment. The main objective is to determine how the quality of care is associated with the level of patient satisfaction on hemodialysis. The study presents a hypothetical deductive method with an applied level, where two data collection instruments were applied to a sample of 94 patients on hemodialysis. After data collection, they will be processed and analyzed statistically first at a statistical level for the description of the variables, as well as the descriptive and inferential statistical analysis will be developed through Spearman's Rho test to corroborate the result of the hypotheses and to be able to provide the conclusions of the case.

El estudio se desarrolla en torno al paciente en tratamiento de hemodiálisis tanto en su atención como en su satisfacción con el servicio, lo cual es clave porque esa satisfacción indica la calidad del servicio, además que los motivará en el cumplimento de su tratamiento. El objetivo principal es determinar como la calidad de cuidado se asocia con el nivel de satisfacción del paciente en hemodiálisis. El estudio presenta un método hipotético deductivo con un nivel aplicado, en donde se aplicará dos instrumentos de recolección de datos a una muestra de 94 pacientes en hemodiálisis. Luego de la recolección de datos se procesarán y serán analizados de manera estadística primero a un nivel estadístico para la descripción de las variables, asimismo se desarrollará el análisis estadístico tanto descriptivo como inferencial a través de la prueba de Rho de Spearman para poder corroborar el resultado de las hipótesis y poder brindar las conclusiones del caso.
