Quality of life of the main caregiver of a patient hospitalized with schizophrenia in a psychiatric hospital in Lima - 2020

Abstract

The quality of life of the main caregiver of the patient with schizophrenia has an impact on the caregiver's health, since it requires time and a variety of sensitive, physical and psychological manifestations, presenting changes in their life due to concerns about the burden they have. to face. To carry out this project, the family caregiver was observed, who arrived to visit his hospitalized relative, irritable, tired, careless. When observing the suffering family member, we thought about how we could help the family member, propose talks about the management of his patient and thus have a good quality of life. There are national and international studies that show that there is a regular quality of life for the caregiver, many times they abandon their jobs to take care of their family member.

La calidad de vida del cuidador principal del paciente con esquizofrenia, tiene un impacto en la salud del cuidador, ya que requiere de tiempo y una variedad de manifestaciones sensitivas, físicas y psicológicas, presentando cambios en su vida por las preocupaciones por la carga que tiene que afrontar. Para realizar este proyecto se observó al familiar cuidador, que llegaba a la visita de su familiar internado, irritable, cansado, descuidado, al observar al familiar, doliente se pensó como se podría ayudar al familiar, proponer charlas sobre el manejo de su paciente y así tener una calidad de vida buena. Hay estudios nacionales e internacionales, que demuestran que hay una regular calidad de vida del cuidador, muchas veces abandonan sus trabajos por cuidar a su familiar.
