Knowledge and self-care about the prevention of diabetic foot in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the San Juan de Miraflores health center – 2021

Abstract

The present research work is deductive, quantitative, of a transversal - correlational type that aims to "Determine the Level of Knowledge about diabetic foot prevention and its relationship with self-care in patients with M2 Diabetes at the San Juan de Miraflores Health Center during the period July - August 2021", will have a population of 96 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of Diabetes M2 from the San Juan de Miraflores Health Center, 2 instruments will be used for data collection, one will measure the level of knowledge about diabetic foot prevention and another instrument will be a test that will determine self-care, both instruments will evaluate the 3 dimensions to be investigated: Risk factors, Hygiene and care of the foot and signs and symptoms of complications, thus it will also be counted. with the informed consent that will be given to each patient before completing the questionnaire. The results of each item will be entered into an Excel program database, then the SPSS 21 data processing program will be used for analysis, and graphs will also be used for variable 1 and 2, separately, and comparative graphs. . The Chi square independence of criteria test will be applied, significance level of 0.05.

El presente trabajo de investigación es deductivo, cuantitativo, de tipo transversal – correlacional que tiene como objetivo “Determinar el Nivel de Conocimientos sobre prevención del pie diabético y su relación con el autocuidado en los pacientes con Diabetes M2 del Centro de Salud San Juan de Miraflores durante el periodo julio – agosto del 2021”, tendrá una población de 96 pacientes con diagnóstico confirmado de Diabetes M2 del Centro de Salud San Juan de Miraflores, se utilizará para la recolección de datos 2 instrumentos, uno medirá el nivel de conocimientos sobre prevención del pie diabético y otro instrumento será un test que determinará el autocuidado, ambos instrumentos evaluarán las 3 dimensiones a investigar: Factores de riesgo, Higiene y cuidados del pie y signos y síntomas de complicaciones, así también se contará con el consentimiento informado que se entregará a cada paciente antes de la realización del cuestionario. Los resultados de cada ítem se ingresarán a una base de datos de programa de Excel, luego se utilizará el programa de procesamiento de datos SPSS 21 para su análisis, así también, se usarán gráficos para variable 1 y 2, por separado, y gráficos comparativos.
