Sociodemographic and family characteristics of the mothers of children (a) from 6 to 36 months with anemia in the Santa Rosa district

Abstract

Objective: Identify the sociodemographic and family characteristics of the mothers of children aged 6 to 36 months with anemia in the district of Santa Rosa. Material and methods: The methodological approach used was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, prospective and descriptive. The sample was 114 mothers of children from 6 to 36 months of age with anemia, being selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria of the research. To measure sociodemographic and family characteristics, the Family Technical Sheet instrument was used, which includes 17 items grouped into 3 dimensions. A pilot test was carried out on 20 mothers, to demonstrate its reliability and validity.

Objetivo: Identificar las características sociodemográficas y familiares de las madres de los niños (a) de 6 a 36 meses con anemia del distrito de Santa Rosa. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal prospectivo y descriptivo. La muestra fueron 114 madres de niños (a) de 6 a 36 meses de edad con anemia, siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Para medir las características sociodemográficas y familiares, se utilizó el instrumento de la Ficha Técnica Familiar este comprende 17 ítems agrupados en 3 dimensiones. Se realizó una prueba piloto a 20 madres de familia, para evidenciar su confiabilidad y validez.
