Quality of nursing care and anxiety in surgical patients of a national hospital of Lima, 2024

Abstract

Preoperative nursing care helps patients to understand the process and actively participate in it by attending to their psychological and emotional needs OBJECTIVE: To determine how the quality of nursing care and anxiety are related in surgical patients in a National Hospital in Lima, 2024. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A quantitative, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional analysis will be carried out. The population will be made up of surgical patients from a national hospital in Lima, with a total of 80 participants. The survey technique and the questionnaire will be used as an instrument for each variable respectively. For these instruments we took into account the work of Culqui in the year 2023 applied at national level. The validation was carried out with a test of 20 pilot participants, which was approved by the judgement of ten experts in the field with Aiken's V > 0.98 for variable 1 and with a Zung anxiety scale Aiken's V > 0.97 for variable 2. As for reliability, a Cronbach's alpha test of 0.704 was performed for variable 1 and a Cronbach's alpha test of 0.882 for variable 2. Finally, the SPSS version 20 statistical programme will be used, with a significance level of 0.05, to perform descriptive and inferential statistics. Spearman's Rho technique will also be proposed to calculate the correlation between variables.

Los cuidados de enfermería preoperatorios ayudan a los pacientes a comprender el proceso de la cirugía, atendiendo a sus necesidades psicológicas y emocionales cuando se presenta ansiedad. OBJETIVO: Determinar cómo se relaciona la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y la ansiedad en pacientes quirúrgicos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2024. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: análisis cuantitativo, no experimental, correlacional y transversal, población 80 pacientes quirúrgicos de un hospital nacional de Lima, la encuesta se utilizo como técnica y el cuestionario como instrumento para cada variable. Para estos instrumentos se tomo en cuenta el trabajo de Culqui, cuya validación se realizó en 20 participantes, lo cual fue aprobado por expertos en la especialidad mediante la V de Aiken> 0.98 de variable 1 y con una escala de ansiedad Zung V de Aiken superior a 0.97 de variable 2. En cuanto a la confiablidad se realizó una prueba alfa de Cronbach de 0.704 para la variable 1 y de 0.882 para la variable 2. Se utilizará el programa estadístico SPSS versión 20, con un nivel de significación de 0,05, para realizar estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales. Asimismo, se propondrá la técnica Rho de Spearman para calcular la correlación entre variables.
