Knowledge and practices on biosecurity measures of the nursing professional in the surgical center of a clinic in Lima - 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and practices on biosafety standards in the care of COVID-19 patients in the area of the Hospital Surgical Center Level IV 2022. Method: applied, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional study. The census sample will consist of 50 nurses from the Surgical Center area of a level IV hospital. The instruments to be used are: Knowledge of biosafety standards survey for the variable 1 and an observation guide for variable 2; Those passed through the validation and reliable process to measure both variables. The collected data will be processed in SPSS 25 and the hypotheses will be tested using the statistical test of Spearman's correlation coefficient given the nature of the variables.

Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica sobre las medidas de bioseguridad del profesional de enfermería en la atención de pacientes del área de Centro Quirúrgico de un hospital de Lima - 2023. Método: La presente investigación empleará el enfoque hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional y transversal. La población que participará será de 50 profesionales de enfermería del área de Centro Quirúrgico de una clínica ubicado en la ciudad de Lima - Perú. La técnica a emplear será la encuesta y los instrumentos a emplear son: Conocimientos de medidas de bioseguridad y una guía de observación, ambos instrumentos pasaron por un proceso previo de validación y confiabilidad. La información recolectada será procesada en SPSS 26 y las hipótesis se probarán usando la prueba estadística del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman dada la naturaleza de las variables
