Level of satisfaction and perceived stress by the nursing staff of the intensive care unit of a private institution, 2023

Abstract

This academic work has the objective of determining how satisfaction is related to the stress perceived by the nursing staff assigned to intensive care in a clinic in Lima, 2023. Its approach was quantitative, non-experimental design, descriptive correlational level, cross section and a sample census of 84 professionals. For data collection, the chosen technique was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire. Being more specific, the Job Satisfaction Scale developed by Sonia Palma-Carrillo and the Nursing Stress Scale authored by Gray-Toft and Anderson. These are instruments validated in previous national and international studies and have strong reliability, which is enough for them to be applied when required.

Este trabajo académico tiene el objetivo de determinar cómo se relaciona la satisfacción con el estrés percibido por el personal enfermero asignado a cuidados intensivos de una clínica limeña, 2023. Su enfoque fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional descriptivo, corte transversal y una muestra censal de 84 profesionales. Para la recolección de datos, la técnica elegida fue la encuesta y el instrumento ha sido el cuestionario. Siendo más específicos, la Escala de Satisfacción Laboral elaborada por Sonia Palma-Carrillo y la Escala de Estrés de Enfermería cuya autoría corresponde a Gray-Toft y Anderson. Se trata de instrumentos validados en estudios previos nacionales e internacionales y que cuentan con una fuerte confiabilidad, lo que es suficiente para que sean aplicados cuando se requiera
