Knowledge about closed-circuit aspiration of secretions in intubated patients and the practice of the nursing staff of the intensive care service of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital – 2023

Abstract

The current research project aims to see the correlation between knowledge according to the concept dimension, and practice carried out by the nursing staff using the closed secretion aspiration circuit in intubated patients in the Intensive Care area of the Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho. The method: It is of the hypothetical-deductive type because it starts from an initial explanation called a hypothesis and thereby obtain particular conclusions from it. The population will be finite since only the nursing staff who work in the Intensive Care area of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital will be counted for the study, which are a total of 45 people who will have certain inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sampling is not probabilistic according to convenience, since the availability of people to be part of the sample will be seen, in a given time interval. For data collection, the survey and observation technique will be used. The instrument will be the questionnaire and the checklist that was carried out with the purpose of finding the relationship between the level of knowledge according to the concept dimension, and the practice of the nursing staff on the aspiration of secretions in a closed circuit in the intubated patients of the area. of Intensive Care of the Hospital of San Juan de Lurigancho.

El proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo ver la correlación entre el conocimiento y la práctica realizada por el personal de enfermería usando el circuito cerrado en la aspiración de secreciones en pacientes intubados del área de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho. El método de tipo hipotético deductivo porque parte de una explicación inicial llamada hipótesis y con ello obtener conclusiones particulares de ella. La población será finita porque se contará para el estudio con un total de 45 enfermeras que labora en el área de Cuidados Intensivos de mencionado Hospital, los cuales tendrán ciertos criterios de inclusión y exclusión. El muestreo es no probabilístico según conveniencia, ya que se tendrá que evaluar el tiempo del personal de enfermería que van a integrarse en la muestra, en un momento dado. Se utilizarán métodos de encuesta y observación para recolección de datos. El instrumento será un cuestionario y una lista de chequeo para establecer la analogía entre el conocimiento según dimensión concepto, y práctica del personal de enfermería en la aspiración de secreciones en circuito cerrado en los pacientes intubados del área de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho.
