References and counter-references of obstetric emergencies treated at the Daniel Alcides Carrión National Hospital, 2021-2022

Abstract

When pregnant women present obstetric emergencies, they are referred to hospitals with the capacity to resolve them. OBJECTIVE of the study was to describe the management of referrals and counter-referrals of obstetric emergencies treated at the Daniel Alcides Carrión National Hospital, in the years 2021 and 2022. MATERIALS AND METHODS indicate that the study was observational, descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional. A sample of 177 references was worked, the sampling was non-probabilistic for convenience. The database was created in the Excel program and the statistical analysis was carried out in the SPSS version 25 program. RESULTS indicate that 30.5% of the pregnant women were between 23 and 28 years old. The main reference diagnoses were preeclampsia with 32.2% and threat of preterm birth with 20.3%. The Peru-Korea-Bellavista Health Center referred 21.5% pregnant women, 56.5% presented negative results for coronavirus. 85.9% of referrals were coordinated and 85.9% of counter-referrals were attached and completed at the time of discharge. IN CONCLUSION, the main diagnoses that motivated the referral were preeclampsia and threat of preterm birth, the Peru-Korea-Bellavista Health Center generated a greater number of referrals and the process of referrals and counter-referrals in obstetric emergencies was fulfilled

Objetivo: La investigación fue desarrollada con miras de determinar los factores que se asocian a la preclamsia, desde la revisión bibliográfica de la literatura científica publicada en el Perú desde el 2018 al 2022. Diseño: Se trata de una investigación desarrollada bajo los lineamientos del enfoque cualitativo ajustado a una metodología del diseño de investigación fundamentada. Se trabajó con 35 investigaciones cribadas de un total de 384. Ámbito de investigación: Para la ejecución de la presente revisión bibliográfica se tomó como referencia los procesos correspondientes a las fases del flujo del método PRISMA (27), a fin de procesar la información procedente de investigaciones desarrolladas según la clasificación de los estudios observacionales, transversales, retrospectivos, analíticos y, de casos y controles (28). Sujetos: 35 investigaciones. Determinaciones: Estudio de casos y controles orientados a cuantificar el riesgo para desarrollar preeclampsia. Conclusiones: los predictores de riesgo significativo para preeclampsia fueron, dentro de los factores sociodemográficos: tener menos de 20 años y proceder de zona rural; dentro del factor Antecedentes de la enfermedad: el haber padecido la enfermedad en un proceso de gestación anterior; dentro de los hábitos nocivos: hábito de fumar; dentro del factor Gineco-obstétricos: ser primigesta o nulípara y los controles prenatales incompletos dentro del factor Enfermades o alteraciones: el Sobrepeso u Obesidad
