Factors associated with neonatal hypoglycemia in a hospital in Lima, first quarter year 2019

Abstract

The objective of this study is: To determine those factors that are associated with neonatal hypoglycemia in a Hospital in Lima in the first quarter of 2019. Material and Method: The study has a quantitative, case-control, analytical, and retrospective approach. The measurement of the variables is cross-sectional, type of observational intervention, cohort design. The population will consist of all the medical records (HCL) of full-term neonates who were treated in the Neonatology service of a Hospital in Lima in the study period, first quarter of 2019. The sample will be made up of 140 neonates treated in the Neonatology service of a Hospital in Lima, first quarter of 2019. There will be a collection of HCL from RN, all term neonates will be considered with a diagnosis of hypoglycemia (less than and equal to 45 mg/dl), who will be chosen taking into account the inclusion and exclusion criteria that were raised in the present study. A review of the R.N.'s medical history and the mother's medical history will be used. A collection sheet will be handled, obtained thanks to the author Renson Huamani.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo: Determinar aquellos factores que se encuentran asociados a la hipoglucemia neonatal de un Hospital de Lima primer trimestre año 2019.Material y Método: El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de casos y control, de nivel analítico, retrospectivo. La medición de las variables es transversal, tipo de intervención observacional, diseño de cohortes. La población estará constituida por todas las historias clínicas (HCL) de los neonatos a término que fueron atendidos en el servicio de Neonatología de un Hospital de Lima en el periodo de estudio, primer trimestre 2019.La muestra estará constituida por 140 neonatos atendidos en el servicio de Neonatología de un Hospital de Lima, primer trimestre 2019.Se contará con la recopilación de HCL de RN, se considerará a todos los neonatos a término con el diagnóstico de hipoglucemia (menor e igual a45 mg/dl), quienes serán elegidas tomando en cuenta los criterios de inclusión y exclusión que fueron planteados en el presente estudio. Se utilizará la revisión de la Historia clínica del R.N y la Historia clínica de la madre. Se manejará una ficha de recolección, obtenido gracias al autor Renson Huamani.
