Relationship that exists between knowledge and nursing practices on the care of the central venous catheter in the intensive care service of the Ricardo Palma Clinic, 2023

Abstract

The objective of the research was "To determine the relationship that exists between knowledge and nursing practices on the care of the central venous catheter in the Intensive Care service of the Ricardo Palma clinic, 2023"; Taking this objective, the study proposes to develop under the hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental and correlational design, for this reason it will be quantitatively oriented; 80 nursing professionals from the Intensive Care service will participate in it, the measurement will be carried out by means of two instruments; the questionnaire to assess knowledge of central venous catheter care applied through the survey authored by Yessenia Escate for the year 2021 (24) of 22 items and four dimensions; and to value the practices, a checklist authored by Pamely Arévalo (31) from the year 2021, of 36 statements and three dimensions; both instruments have expert judgment validity and reliability through the KR-20 of 0.716 for the questionnaire and 0.878 for the checklist, indicating that the instruments can be applied, on the other hand, to measure the relationship between the phenomena proposed, the normality test will be carried out first to determine with which relationship coefficient the hypotheses will be tested, being the alternatives Pearson's r or Spearman's Rho, and with this, establish the inferences and scope of the raised topic.

El presente trabajo tiene como El objetivo de “Determinar la relación que existe entre los conocimientos con las prácticas de enfermería sobre el cuidado del catéter venoso central en el servicio de Cuidados Intensivos s de la clínica Ricardo Palma, 2023”; tomando este objetivo, el estudio plantea desarrollarse bajo el método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental y correlacional, por ello será de orientación cuantitativa; participarán del mismo 50 profesionales de enfermería del servicio de Cuidados intensivos, la medición se realizará por medio de dos instrumentos; el cuestionario para valorar los Conocimientos del cuidado del catéter venoso central aplicado por medio de la encuesta de la autoría de Yessenia Escate del año 2021 (24) de 22 ítems y cuatro dimensiones; y para valor las prácticas de cuidado una lista de Chequeo este fue realizado por el autor Pamely Arévalo en el año 2021, está conformado por 36 enunciados de tres dimensiones; ambos instrumentos cuentan con validez de juicio de expertos y confiabilidad por medio del KR-20 de 0,716 para el cuestionario y 0,878 la lista de cotejo, indicando con ello que los instrumentos pueden ser aplicados, por otro lado, para medir la relación entre los fenómenos propuestos se realizará primero la prueba de normalidad para con ello determinar con que coeficiente de relación se probarán las hipótesis, siendo las alternativas r de Pearson o el Rho de Spearman, y con ello establecer las inferencias y alcances del tema planteado
