Death's anxiety level in three groups of hemodialysis patients with end-stage renal disease in a private clinic, Lima 2020

Abstract

The present research, titled Level of anxiety before death in three groups of patients undergoing hemodialysis with terminal chronic renal failure in a private clinic, Lima 2020, was conducted as a qualitative, descriptive-correlational, cross-sectional, and field study, with the objective: to determine the differences in the level of anxiety before death in three groups of patients undergoing hemodialysis with terminal chronic renal failure. The population was represented by 105 patients who met the inclusion criteria. Data collection was done through a questionnaire, applying the Donald Templer Anxiety Scale, composed of three dimensions: fear of agony or illness, fear of life ending, and fear of death.

La presente investigación titulada Nivel de ansiedad ante la muerte en tres grupos de pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis con insuficiencia renal crónica terminal en una clínica privada, lima 2020. Fue planteada como una investigación de tipo cualitativa, descriptiva-correlacional, transversal y de campo., con el objetivo: Determinar las diferencias del nivel de ansiedad ante la muerte en tres grupos de pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis con insuficiencia renal crónica terminal. La población fue representada por 105 pacientes que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el método del cuestionario, aplicándose la escala de ansiedad de Donald Templer, compuesto en 3 dimensiones: Miedo a la agonía o enfermedad, miedo a que la vida llegue a su fin, miedo a la muerte.
