Knowledge about tuberculosis and self-care practices in patients attending the tb program survey at the Santiago Apostol Health Center, Lima 2022

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge about tuberculosis and self-care practices in patients who attend the consultation of the TB program in the Santiago Apóstol health center, Lima 2022, for which a method was used. hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, a type of applied research with a non-experimental design, in a population of 80 patients for which a census sampling was carried out, obtaining a sample of 80 patients, to whom two questionnaires were applied that their purpose was to measure the study variables. The results found showed a significance lower than .05 (p= <.05) as well as a Spearman's Rho coefficient of .900**, so it was concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge about tuberculosis and self-care practices in patients attending the TB program consultation at the Santiago Apóstol health center, Lima 2022

Objetivo: determinar la relación entre los conocimientos sobre tuberculosis y las prácticas de autocuidado en pacientes que asisten a la consulta del programa de TBC en el centro de salud Santiago Apóstol, Lima 2022, para lo que se utilizó un método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, un tipo de investigación aplicada con un diseño no experimental, en una población de 80 pacientes para lo que se realizó un muestreo censal obteniendo para ello una muestra de 80 pacientes, a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios que tenían por finalidad medir las variables de estudio. Los resultados encontrados arrojaron una significancia inferior a .05 (p=<.05) así como también un coeficiente Rho de Spearman de .900** por lo que se concluyó que existe relación entre los conocimientos sobre tuberculosis y las prácticas de autocuidado en pacientes que asisten a la consulta del programa de TBC en el centro de salud Santiago Apóstol, Lima 2022
