Nursing interventions in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis in the emergency department of a national hospital in Lima, 2021

Abstract

Objective: Determine nursing interventions in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis in the Emergency Service of a National Hospital in Lima, 2021. Methodology: This research study has a quantitative approach, descriptive design and is cross-sectional. The study population will be made up of 50 nursing professionals. The sample is the census population since no sample will be calculated because the sample size is very small or finite, with the same 50 nurses; Likewise, the sampling will be Non-Probabilistic Convenience Sampling. The study technique will be observation and the instrument will be an observation guide. Once the data collection is completed, the researcher will use statistical programs such as Excel 2019 and SPSS version 26.0, which will report their findings in the tables and figures to then carry out their analysis and interpretation. Likewise, descriptive statistics will be applied, which will measure a single study variable, taking into account the mean, standard deviation, and variance, to calculate the frequencies and percentages of the study variable about nursing interventions in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis.

Objetivo: Determinar las intervenciones de enfermería en pacientes con cetoacidosis diabética en el Servicio de Emergencia de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2021. Metodología: El presente estudio de investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo y es de corte transversal. La población de estudio estará conformada por 50 profesionales de enfermería. La muestra la población censal ya que no se calculará ninguna muestra por ser el tamaño muestral muy pequeño o finito siendo los mismos 50 enfermeros; asimismo, el muestreo será el Muestreo No Probabilístico por Conveniencia. La técnica de estudio será la observación y el instrumento una guía de observación. Una vez culminado la recolección de datos el investigador hará uso de los programas estadísticos como Excel 2019 y el SPSS versión 26.0, el cual sus hallazgos serán reportados en las tablas y figuras para seguidamente realizar el análisis e interpretación del mismo. Asimismo, se aplicará la estadística descriptiva la cual medirá una sola variable de estudio teniendo en cuenta la media, desviación estándar, varianza, para calcular las frecuencias y porcentajes de la variable de estudio acerca de las intervenciones de enfermería en pacientes con cetoacidosis diabética.
