Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of nursing staff in the emergency service of a pediatric hospital, Lima - 2022

Abstract

The main objective of the research will be to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of nursing staff in the emergency service of a pediatric hospital, Lima - 2022. The following study is a cross-sectional, correlational, descriptive study. The population and sample are made up of 39 nurses from the emergency service of a pediatric hospital; The instruments to be used will be the following: the questionnaire to measure emotional intelligence Meta Mood Scale (TMMS), by researchers Saovery and Mayer (1995); It has a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.862; and the Sonia Palma Carrillo questionnaire (SL-SPC) (1999), to measure job satisfaction with a Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.858; Both instruments were adapted by the author Lenin Vásquez Vásquez (2021). The data will be statistically processed with the Pearson correlation coefficient, presented in tables and graphs.

La investigación tendrá como objetivo principal determinar la relación que existe entre la inteligencia emocional y la satisfacción laboral del personal de enfermería del servicio de emergencia de un hospital pediátrico, Lima - 2022. El siguiente estudio es de tipo descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal. La población y muestra está conformada por 39 enfermeros del servicio de emergencia de un hospital pediátrico; los instrumentos a usar serán los siguientes: el cuestionario para medir inteligencia emocional Meta Mood Scale (TMMS) ( Escala de meta-estado de ánimo de rasgos), de los investigadores Salovery y Mayer (1995); tiene una confiabilidad de alfa de Cronbach de 0,862; y el cuestionario de Sonia Palma Carrillo (SL-SPC) (1999), para medir la satisfacción laboral con una confiabilidad de alfa de Cronbach de 0,858; ambos instrumentos fueron adaptados por el autor Lenin Vásquez Vásquez (2021). Los datos serán procesados estadísticamente con el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson, presentados en tablas y gráficos.
