Pressure injuries (PLI) constitute one of the most common problems in daily nursing practice, and our responsibility is both its prevention and treatment; This is the case of older adults, who are the most vulnerable population; Therefore, an increasing challenge for nursing professionals to improve their quality of care. The objective set in this research is to determine the quality of care and prevention of pressure injuries in the elderly in the medicine service in a hospital in Lima, 2023. Hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, applied type, non-specific design. experimental, correlational and cross-sectional; sample made up of 80 nurses who work in the hospitalization service in order to measure the two variables. The instruments that will be used will be a questionnaire and a checklist, both used in 2018; These instruments have been validated by Condori Paucara Florentino and adapted by Bach. Quispe according to the SERQVAL model, and for reliability Cronbach's Alpha was applied. Data collection will be carried out through the use of the SPSS version 29 program, a database will be created in Excel that will be used for quantitative analysis, which will allow the use of tables and graphs for the representation of the variables. On the other hand, an inference analysis will be carried out with Spearman's Rho statistical test, according to the results of the normality test, to verify the formulated hypotheses.
Resumen
Las lesiones por presión (LPP) constituyen uno de los problemas más comunes en la práctica diaria de Enfermería, siendo nuestra responsabilidad tanto su prevención como su tratamiento; tal es el caso de los adultos mayores que es la población más vulnerable; por lo tanto, un reto cada vez mayor de los profesionales de enfermería en mejorar la calidad de atención de los mismos. El objetivo planteado en la presente investigación es determinar la calidad de atención y prevención de lesiones por presión en el adulto mayor del servicio de medicina en un hospital de lima, 2023. De método hipotético-deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal; muestra conformada por 80 enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de hospitalización con el fin de medir las dos variables. Los instrumentos que se usarán, será un cuestionario y una lista de cotejo, ambos usados en el 2018; dichos instrumentos han sido validados por Condori Paucara Florentino y adaptada por la Bach. Quispe según modelo SERQVAL, y para la confiabilidad se aplicó el Alfa de Cronbach. La recolección de datos se realizará a través de uso del programa SPSS versión 29, se elaborará una base de datos en Excel que será utilizado para el análisis cuantitativa, lo cual permitirá utilizar tablas y gráficos para la representación de las variables. Por otro lado, se realizará un análisis de inferencia con la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman, según los resultados de la prueba de normalidad, para comprobar las hipótesis formuladas.
