Work stress, defined as a pattern of various reactions that occur in human beings, from the psychological, cognitive, emotional and behavioral fields, is generated when employees are exposed to various overwhelming or extremely demanding demands regarding the organization, content and work environment. In the healthcare field, nursing professionals are perhaps the most sensitive, due to the work environment in which they carry out their activities, the work time they assume due to the level of responsibilities and the high demand for attention that their work demands. The objective of the study is to determine the level of work stress of the nursing professional in the emergency service of a hospital in San Juan de Lurigancho - 2020. Material and methods: The present study is quantitative, the design is descriptive because it seeks to make known traits and characteristics of the study variables, and non-experimental since no manipulations of any of the variables will be carried out. For the data collection process, the survey technique will be used. To measure the main variable, the questionnaire called Nurse Stress Scale (NSS) will be used, which measures work stress.
Resumen
El estrés laboral, definido como un patrón de diversas reacciones que se producen en el ser humano, desde el ámbito psicológico, cognitivo, emocional y conductual, se genera cuando los colaboradores están expuestos a diversas exigencias abrumadoras o sumamente exigentes en cuanto a la organización, contenido y ambiente laboral. En el ámbito sanitario, los profesionales enfermeros son quizá los más sensibles, debido al entorno laboral en el cual despliegan sus actividades, el tiempo de trabajo que asumen debido al nivel de responsabilidades y la alta demanda de atención que exige su labor. El objetivo del estudio es determinar el nivel de estrés laboral del profesional de enfermería del servicio de emergencia de un hospital en San Juan de Lurigancho – 2020. Material y métodos: El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo el diseño es descriptivo porque busca dar a conocer rasgos y características de las variables de estudio, y no experimental pues no se realizaran manipulaciones de ninguna de las variables. Para el proceso de recolección de datos se empleará la técnica de encuesta. para medir la variable principal se utilizará el cuestionario denominado Escala Nurse Stress Scale (NSS), el cual mide el estrés laboral.
