Coping and adherence to treatment in patients with chronic renal failure, Villa María clinic, 2023

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between coping and treatment adherence in patients with chronic renal failure. We will work with a hypothetical-deductive study, with a non-experimental, quantitative, descriptive, applied, and correlational study, cross-sectional method; The sample will consist of 60 patients with chronic renal failure. To collect information on coping and adherence to treatment, two questionnaires will be used that have been validated by experts and with a high reliability of 0.950 and 0.835 under Cronbach's alpha test. Information gathering will take approximately 25 minutes per participant. Tables and graphs will be used for analysis and interpretation. Similarly, at the inferential level, for the verification of the hypotheses, the application of Spearman's Rho will proceed with a significance of less than 0.05, once the relationships between variables have been established, the conclusions will be issued responding to the study objectives.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el afrontamiento y la adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica. Se trabajará con un estudio hipotético-deductivo, de diseño no experimental, cuantitativo, descriptivo, aplicado, y correlacional, método transversal; la muestra estará conformada por 60 pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica. Para recolectar la información de afrontamiento y adherencia al tratamiento se utilizará dos cuestionarios que han sido validados por expertos y con una confiabilidad alta de 0.950 y 0.835 bajo la prueba de alfa de Cronbach. La recopilación de información tomará aproximadamente 25 minutos por participante. Se utilizarán tablas y gráficos para el análisis e interpretación. De igual forma a nivel inferencial para la comprobación de las hipótesis se procederá con la aplicación de Rho de Spearman con una significancia menor al 0.05, una vez estableciendo las relaciones entre variables se emitirá las conclusiones respondiendo a los objetivos de estudio.
