Level of anxiety in students of VIII, IX and X cycle of the EAP dentistry of the Norbert Wiener University in times of Covid-19.

Abstract

The current research titled "Anxiety Level among 8th, 9th, and 10th Cycle Students of the EAP Dentistry at Norbert Wiener University during Covid-19" aims to determine the anxiety levels in students of the 8th, 9th, and 10th cycles at the EAP Dentistry of the Norbert Wiener University in times of Covid-19. Methodology: hypothetico-deductive method, quantitative approach, and a combination of Basic, Applied, Descriptive, and Explanatory types. It is both Quantitative and Qualitative in nature and experimental in nature. The sample consisted of 115 students from the professional school of dentistry. The instrument used was the IDARE (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory), which includes two measurement scales: Trait Anxiety and State Anxiety. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was determined, with values above 0.83, indicating a high reliability index. Results will be determined through statistical analysis using Excel spreadsheets and SPSS version 25, along with conclusions and recommendations.

La presente investigación titulada “Nivel de ansiedad en estudiantes de VIII, IX y X ciclo de la EAP odontología de la universidad Norbert Wiener en tiempos de covid-19” tiene como objetivo general: Determinar el nivel de ansiedad en estudiantes de VIII, IX y X ciclo de la EAP odontología de la Universidad Norbert Wiener en tiempos de Covid -19. Metodología: método hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo de tipo Básica, Aplicada. Descriptiva, Explicativa, de carácter Cuantitativa, Cualitativa y naturaleza experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 115 alumnos de la escuela profesional de odontología, el instrumento a utilizarse será IDARE (Inventario de Ansiedad Rasgo-Estado) que es un instrumento que consta de dos escalas de medición Ansiedad-Rasgo y Ansiedad-Estado. Se determinó el coeficiente Alpha de Cronbach y se puede observar, los valores estuvieron por arriba de 0.83, lo cual indica un fuerte índice de confiabilidad. Los resultados se determinarán a través del análisis estadístico con la hoja de cálculo Excel y el estadístico SPSS versión 25. Así como las conclusiones y las recomendaciones.
