Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of patients with tuberculosis of the emergency service of the hospital of the Ministry of Health, Ica - 2023

Abstract

Introduction: There is an increase in cases of patients diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB) and in other cases patients whose situation has been complicated, so it is necessary to know if the staff in charge of care is performing their work correctly and finally that this is reflected in patient satisfaction. Objective: To determine the relationship between quality of care and patient satisfaction in patients with tuberculosis in the emergency department of the Hospital of the Ministry of Health, Ica - 2023. The population will be constituted by 160 patients with tuberculosis of which 113 will form the sample. Methodology: The research will focus on the hypothetical-deductive method of quantitative approach, applied type and non-experimental design exactly a correlational one. For data collection, the survey technique will be used and standardized instruments will be applied, being a questionnaire to evaluate the quality of care and a questionnaire to evaluate patient satisfaction. To obtain the results, the program SSPS version 26 and Microsoft Excel software will be used to process and analyze the data collected, with which tables with their respective figures can be drawn up, as well as to test the hypotheses proposed, and to test the hypotheses proposed through Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient.

Existe un incremento de casos de pacientes diagnósticas con tuberculosis y en otros casos pacientes a quienes se les ha complicado su situación, de manera que resulta necesario saber si el personal que se encuentra a cargo de la atención viene desarrollando de forma correcta sus labores y finalmente que esto se vea reflejado en la satisfacción de los pacientes. Teniendo como finalidad determinar la relación que existe entre la calidad de atención y la satisfacción de pacientes. La población estará constituida por 160 pacientes con tuberculosis de los cuales 113 conformarán la muestra. La investigación se centrará en el método hipotético-deductivo de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental exactamente un correlacional. Para la recolección de datos se trabajará con la técnica de la encuesta y se aplicará instrumentos estandarizados siendo un cuestionario para evaluar la calidad de atención y un cuestionario para evaluar la satisfacción por parte del paciente. Para obtener los resultados se utilizará el programa SSPS versión 26 y el software Microsoft Excel para procesar y analizar los datos recolectados con lo cual se podrán elaborar las tablas con sus respectivas figuras, así también probar las hipótesis planteadas.
