Quality of care and satisfaction in patients with breast cáncer in the chemotherapy service in a hospital in Lima, 2024

Abstract

This research project has the general objective: To determine the relationship between the quality of care and satisfaction in patients with breast cancer in the chemotherapy service in a hospital in Lima 2024. The population under study will consist of 60 patients with breast cancer. breast treated in the chemotherapy service at a hospital in Lima 2024. The study method used will be hypothetical-deductive of an applied type with an observational, correlational, descriptive and cross-sectional design. To collect the data, a survey technique will be used; As instruments for the first variable “Quality of care”, the Liker scale modified by Condezo Javier Mayra will be used with a rating classified as “very high” and a reliability of 0.80 and for the second variable “Patient satisfaction” designed by Urrutia Mundaca Silvia, in which the Liker scale will also be used for its rating, which was evaluated by the judgment of experts who used an adhoc form. Additionally, a reliability of 0.970 was achieved in the Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency index, which confirms the consistency of the instrument. Appropriate statistical tests will be applied to validate the proposed hypotheses. For the processing and analysis of the data collected in the research, the most recent version of the SSPS Statistics program will be used, and the Microsoft Excel software will be used to present statistical tables, measuring the correlation using Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient.

Este proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo general: Determinar la relación existente entre la calidad de atención y la satisfacción en pacientes con cáncer de mama del servicio de quimioterapia en un hospital de Lima 2024. La población objeto de estudio estará conformada 60 pacientes con cáncer de mama que se atienden en el servicio de quimioterapia en un hospital de Lima 2024. El método de estudio empleado será hipotético-deductivo de tipo aplicada con un diseño observacional, correlacional, descriptivo y transversal. Para la recopilación de los datos se utilizará como técnica encuesta; como instrumentos de la primera variable “Calidad de atención”, se utilizará la escala de Liker modificada por Condezo Javier Mayra con una valoración catalogada como “muy alta” y una confiabilidad de 0,80 y para la segunda variable “Satisfacción en pacientes” diseñado por Urrutia Mundaca Silvia, en la que a su vez también se utilizará la escala de Liker para su calificación, lo cual fue evaluado por juicio de expertos quienes utilizaron un formulario adhoc. Adicionalmente, se logró una confiabilidad de 0.970 en el índice de consistencia interna Alfa de Cronbach, lo que ratifica la consistencia del instrumento. Se aplicarán las pruebas estadísticas apropiadas para validar las hipótesis propuestas. Para el procesamiento y análisis de los datos recolectados en la investigación, se empleará la versión más reciente del programa SSPS Statistics, y el software Microsoft Excel se utilizará para la presentación de tablas estadísticas, midiendo la correlación mediante el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman.
