Level of self-transcendence and moderating factors in older adults who participate in a Tacna Neighborhood Council 2024

Abstract

The research is focused on the older adult population, which currently includes people aged 60 years and older. It is projected that by the year 2050, the global population of older adults will double, reaching 2.1 billion. Life expectancy is between 70 and 75 years at present and is expected to increase further by 2050. In this context, it is crucial that nursing professionals are prepared to provide care that promotes and prevents quality of life problems in older adults. The main objective of the research is to establish the relationship between the Level of Self-Transcendence and several moderating factors in older adults participating in a neighborhood council in Tacna. The study will be carried out using a hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach. This research will be basic in nature and will employ a descriptive-correlational non-experimental design, with a cross-sectional approach. To collect data, two instruments will be used, consisting of 15 items and 14 items respectively. The measurement will be carried out using the Likert scale.

La investigación está centrada en la población de adultos mayores, que actualmente incluye personas de 60 años o más. Se proyecta que para el año 2050, la población mundial de adultos mayores se duplicará, alcanzando los 2.100 millones. La esperanza de vida se sitúa entre los 70 y 75 años en la actualidad y se espera que aumente aún más para el 2050. En este contexto, es crucial que los profesionales de enfermería estén preparados para proporcionar cuidados que promuevan y prevengan problemas en la calidad de vida de los adultos mayores. El objetivo principal de la investigación es establecer la relación entre el Nivel de Autotrascendencia y varios factores moderadores en adultos mayores que participan en una junta vecinal en Tacna. El estudio se llevará a cabo utilizando un método hipotético-deductivo con un enfoque cuantitativo. Esta investigación tendrá un carácter básico y empleará un diseño no experimental de tipo descriptivo-correlacional, con un enfoque transversal. Para recopilar los datos, se utilizarán dos instrumentos que están conformados por 15 items y 14 items respectivamente. La medición se realizará mediante la escala de Likert
