Quality of life and work performance in nursing workers at the Santiago Apóstol Health Center, Lima, 2022

Abstract

The present investigation was carried out at the Santiago Apóstol Health Center and had the general objective of determining how the quality of life and work performance of nursing workers at the Santiago Apóstol Health Center, Lima 2022, are related. For which a method was applied Deductive hypothetical, with a quantitative approach, was of an applied type, with a non-experimental design. The population was made up of 80 nursing workers from the Santiago Apóstol health center. Likewise, the sample was made up of 80 workers to whom two questionnaires were applied to measure the variables of quality of work life and work performance. The findings showed, through Spearman's Rho coefficient, that there is a level of relationship of .785**. Added to this, the significance obtained was 0.000, that is, less than 0.05, which allowed us to conclude that the quality of work life and work performance were relate positively. The publication of the results obtained was recommended in order to promote the importance of providing an adequate quality of work life to workers.

La presente investigación se realizó en el centro de Salud Santiago Apóstol y tuvo como objetivo general determinar cómo se relaciona la calidad de vida y desempeño laboral de los trabajadores de enfermería del Centro de salud Santiago Apóstol, Lima 2022. Para lo cual se aplicó un método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, fue de tipo aplicado, con un diseño no experimental. La población estuvo constituida por 80 trabajadores de enfermería del centro de salud Santiago Apóstol, asimismo, la muestra se conformó por 80 trabajadores a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios para medir las variables de calidad de vida laboral y desempeño laboral. Los hallazgos arrojaron mediante el coeficiente Rho de Spearman que existe un nivel de relación de ,785** aunado a ello la significancia arrojada fue 0.000, es decir inferior a 0.05, lo que permitió concluir que la calidad de vida laboral y el desempeño laboral se relacionan de manera positiva. Se recomendó la publicación de los resultados obtenidos a fin de promover la importancia que tiene brindar una adecuada calidad de vida laboral a los trabajadores.
