Efficacy of the active warming system to reduce the risk of hypothermia in postoperative patients

Abstract

Objective: Organize evidence on the effectiveness of active warming to reduce the risk of hypothermia in post-operative patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The review that synthesizes the results of several research documents. They are important for the nursing area that is based on evidence due to its strict method, detecting outstanding studies to answer the questions of the clinical area. RESULTS: 10 scientific articles published in the database were obtained, with a publication time of 5 years and published in languages ​​such as Spanish, Portuguese and English and were located in the database such as: scielo, epistemonikos, elsiever and google academic, 5 of them are concordant and 5 discordant. CONCLUSION: According to the evidence reviewed, it is concluded that the active warming system to reduce hypothermia in post-operative patients is not effective.

Objetivo: Organizar las evidencias sobre la eficacia del calentamiento activo para reducir el riesgo de hipotermia en paciente pos operado. MATERIALES Y METODOS: La revisión que sintetiza los resultados de varios documentos de investigación. Son importantes para el área de enfermería que se basa en evidencias debido a su método estricto, detectando estudios sobresalientes para contestar las interrogantes del área clínica. RESULTADOS: Se obtuvo 10 artículos científicos publicados en la base de datos, con un tiempo de publicación de 5 años y publicados en idioma como el español, portugués e inglés y se ubicaron en la base de datos como: scielo, epistemonikos, elsiever y google académico, 5 de ellos son concordantes y 5 discordantes. CONCLUSIÓN: Según las evidencias revisadas se concluye que el sistema de calentamiento activo para reducir la hipotermia en pacientes pos operados no es efectivo.
