Quality of life and self-care of patients with chronic renal failure in the hemodialysis service, level III hospital, Lima - 2022

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the relationship between quality of life and self-care in patients suffering from chronic kidney disease in the Hemodialysis Unit at a Level III Hospital in Lima - 2022. Materials and methods: This study used a quantitative method, and the design is non-experimental. The population will consist of 200 people suffering from chronic kidney disease at this hospital, with a simple random probability sampling method. Information on quality of life will be gathered through a 36-item questionnaire with corresponding questions and dimensions: physical function, physical role, bodily pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional role, mental health, and health changes over time. Measures of central tendency and Student's t-test will be used for data analysis, while prior research and the state of the art will be considered for result interpretation and discussion.

Objetivo: Analizar la relación entre calidad de vida con el autocuidado de pacientes que padecen insuficiencia renal crónica en la unidad de Hemodiálisis en el Hospital Nivel III Lima - 2022. Material y método: El presente trabajo utilizó el método cuantitativo y el diseño empleado es no experimental. La población estará constituida por 200 personas que sufren enfermedad renal crónica en este nosocomio, realizando luego un muestreo de tipo probabilístico aleatorio simple. La información que se puede obtener sobre calidad de vida, será mediante conjuntos de preguntas de 36 ítems con sus respectivas interrogantes y dimensiones: función física; rol físico; dolor corporal; salud general; vitalidad; función social; rol emocional; salud mental; cambios de la salud en el tiempo, se emplearán medidas sobre tendencia central y prueba test de Student para el análisis de los datos, mientras que los antecedentes de investigación y el estado del arte del estudio se tendrán en cuenta para la interpretación y la discusión de los resultados.
