Knowledge about self-care and practice in patients with tuberculosis who come to the Jesús María Lima health center 2023

Resumen
The general objective of this research was to determine how knowledge about tuberculosis is related to self-care practices in patients attending the Jesús María Lima health center, 2023, using a hypothetical deductive method, a type of applied research with a non-experimental design with a quantitative approach, using a sample of 120 older adults attending the Jesús María health center, who were surveyed about the level of knowledge and self-care practices. The main results show a positive and significant correlation between knowledge of tuberculosis and self-care practices (correlation coefficient of 0.848**). A p-value of 0.000 showed significance, it is concluded that there is a correlation between the level of knowledge of tuberculosis of patients attending the Jesus Maria health center in Lima in 2023 and the practice of self-care.
Resumen
Objetivo: Determinar cómo el conocimiento sobre tuberculosis se relaciona con la práctica de autocuidado en los pacientes que acuden al centro de salud Jesús María Lima 2023. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal prospectivo y descriptivo. La muestra fueron 120 adultos mayores que asisten al centro de salud Jesús María, siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Para medir las características sociodemográficas y familiares, se utilizó el instrumento de la se empleará el cuestionario elaborado por Toledo &azeste En relación a la variable nivel de conocimientos, el cuestionario tiene 10 , 2 dimensiones Ítems .En relación a la variable prácticas de autocuidado, tiene 21 ítems y 2 dimensiones :. Se la validez del instrumento que mide las dos variables fue del 100%. la confiablidad fue realizado a través del Coeficiente de Alfa de Cronbach, teniendo un valor de 0.728 para los instrumentos de las variables de estudio
