Comparison of grades between academic performance and the final exam for students of the X cycle of the School of Dentistry of Norbert Wiener Lima Private University, 2021

Abstract

Introduction: Education in university students is important for achieving success, and this depends on academic performance, which involves evaluating the knowledge acquired during the academic cycle, including all areas or courses from the last year of the program. For this reason, the objective is to determine the comparison of grades between academic performance and the final exam in students from the X cycle of the School of Dentistry at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, Lima 2021. Materials and Methods: This research uses a deductive-hypothetical method with a quantitative approach, as the data obtained during the research were analyzed, and a data collection sheet was used where the weighted averages and final exam grades were recorded.

Introducción: La educación en los estudiantes universitarios es importante para alcanzar el éxito y esto depende del rendimiento académico el cual consiste en evaluar los conocimientos obtenidos durante el ciclo académico donde se incluyeron todas las áreas o cursos del último año de carrera. Por esta razón el objetivo es determinar la comparación de notas entre rendimiento académico y el examen de fin de carrera en alumnos de X ciclo de la Escuela de odontología de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, Lima 2021. Material y métodos: Esta investigación presenta un método deductivo-hipotético y con un foque cuantitativo, debido a que se analizó los datos obtenidos durante la investigación y se empleó una ficha de recolección de datos donde se colocó los promedios ponderados y la nota del examen de fin de carrera.
