Self-care and quality of life in the hemodialysis patient in a private clinic in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The study presents the objective: "To determine how self-care is related to the quality of life in patients with hemodialysis at a private clinic in Lima, 2023"; the research will be of a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and level; As a sample it is contemplated that 80 nurses will participate, selected through a simple random probabilistic sampling, as a technique the survey will be used; the instruments that will be applied will be questionnaires, the first one that will measure the Self-care variable is called ASA Self-care Agency, the second will be the WHOQOL-BREF quality of life scale of the WHO; Both instruments are valid through the ASA Self-Care Agency factor analysis (KMO= 0.79, p<0.000) validated by Leiva et al. in 2015; and the WHOQOL-BREF Quality of Life Scale, (KMO= 0.760, p<0.000) (39), and in terms of reliability, the first instrument obtained a Cronbach's alpha of 0.84 and the Quality of Life questionnaire presents Alpha Cronbach's Physical Health 0.68; Mental health 0.69, Social relations 0.65 and environment 0.69; This information allows us to indicate that the questionnaires are reliable and valid and can be applied. The data that is collected will be analyzed through the SPSS taking Spearman's Rho correlation in order to respond to the proposed objectives and thereby provide recommendations and inferences that help to take initiatives to improve the self-care of hemodialysis patients and this. contribute to a better quality of life.

En el estudio se presenta el objetivo: “Determinar como el autocuidado se relaciona con la calidad de vida en el paciente con hemodiálisis de una clínica privada de Lima, 2023”; la investigación será de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal y nivel; como muestra se tiene contemplado que participen serán 80 enfermeros (as) seleccionadas a través de un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple, como técnica se utilizará la encuesta; los instrumentos que se aplicarán serán cuestionarios, el primero que medirá la variable Autocuidado se denomina Agencia de autocuidado ASA, el segundo será la escala de calidad de vida WHOQOL-BREF de la OMS; ambos instrumentos cuentan con validez por medio del análisis factorial Agencia de autocuidado ASA, (KMO= 0.79 , p<0,000) validado por Leiva et al. en el 2015; y la Escala de calidad de vida WHOQOL-BREF, (KMO= 0.760 , p<0,000) (39), y en cuanto a la confiablidad el primer instrumento obtuvo un alfa de Crombach de 0,84 y el cuestionario Calidad de vida presenta Alfa de Crombach de Salud física 0,68; Salud mental 0,69, Relaciones sociales 0,65 y ambiente 0,69; esta información permite indicar que los cuestionarios son confiables y válidos y pueden aplicarse.
