Work overload and the quality of life of the nursing professional in the emergency unit of a national hospital in Lima - 2022

Abstract

At an international level, nursing work represents those that do not adopt adequate quality of life, where 51% do not have rest spaces, excess work, there are no physical activities, recreation, reaching a sedentary lifestyle, it is the fourth profession with the most stress. due to their responsibilities that professionals carry and more than 21% of professionals will have mental or organic disorders due to the direct link with the user's suffering. The emergency care service exposes the professional, who has the difficult task of caring, monitoring and treating chronically ill, acutely ill and decompensated patients; They are exposed to work and emotional burdens that affect ways of caring for the patient, causing losses of well-being in professional activities, emotional imbalance, experiencing depression and hopelessness.

A nivel internacional, el trabajo de enfermería representa como aquellas que no adoptan adecuadas calidades de vida, donde el 51% no tienen espacios de descansos, excesos de trabajos, no hay actividades físicas, recreaciones, llegando al sedentarismo, es cuarta profesión con más estrés por sus responsabilidades que llevan los profesionales y más del 21% de profesionales van a tener trastornos mentales u orgánico debido al vínculo directo con el sufrir del usuario. El servicio de atención de emergencia expone al profesional, quienes tienen la dura tarea del cuidado, vigilancia y tratamiento del paciente enfermo crónico, agudo y descompensado; se exponen a cargas laborales y emocionales que afectan formas para cuidar al paciente causando pérdidas de bienestar en las actividades profesionales, para desequilibrio emocional, experimentando depresión y desesperanza.
