Quality of life and social support in elderly patients of the hospitalization service of a Hospital in Lima 2020

Abstract

Methodology: quantitative approach, cross-sectional and correlational design. The population will be made up of 80 older adults who are part of ward 3II of the Loayza Hospital. Data collection techniques and instruments: The survey technique will be used for the two variables under study. Quality of life will be measured through the WHOQOL BREF and Social Support through the MOS. Procedures: Data collection will be carried out during the months of September and October 2020. The instruments will be applied to patients hospitalized in internal medicine ward 3II of Loayza Hospital. The data will be entered into a database matrix after verifying that it is completely filled out. Statistical Analysis: The statistical analysis of the data will begin with the creation of the database matrix in the Excel 2016 program. The completion of the data will be verified and the data coding process will begin. Then the data will be exported to the SPSS 25.0 statistical program where a descriptive statistical analysis of the variable will be performed for a better understanding of the same. It will be done in the form of graphs and tables.

Metodología: enfoque cuantitativo, diseño transversal y correlacional. la población estará compuesta por 80 adultos mayores que forman parte del pabellón 3II del Hospital de Loayza. Técnicas e Instrumentos de recolección de datos: Se hará uso de la técnica de la encuesta para las dos variables en estudio. Calidad de vida se medirá atreves del WHOQOL BREF y Apoyo Social atreves del MOS. Procedimientos: la recolección de datos se realizará durante los meses de setiembre y octubre del 2020 la aplicación de los instrumentos se realizará a los pacientes internados en el pabellón de medicina interna 3II del Hospital Loayza. Los datos serán ingresados a una matriz de base de datos previa verificación del completo llenado. Análisis Estadístico: El análisis estadístico de los datos se iniciará con la creación de la matriz de base de datos en el programa de Excel 2016. Se procederá a verificar el llenado de los mismos se iniciará el proceso de codificación de los datos seguidamente los datos serán exportados al programa estadístico SPSS 25.0 donde se realizará un análisis estadístico descriptivo de la variable para una mejor comprensión de los mismos se realizará en forma de gráficos y tablas.
