Level of Kinesiophobia and Functionality in Post-operated Knee Prosthesis Patients in a Hospital in Lima - 2023

Abstract

The development of this research will help us better understand who the patients with kinesiophobia are and how it affects their functionality, allowing for improvements in the treatment protocols established by health institutions. Considering that the number of biopsychosocial patients is increasing, this condition has a significant impact on treatment and recovery. Therefore, the results obtained will assist in identifying the number of patients suffering from kinesiophobia and its severity, enabling the creation of specialized treatment protocols for them, addressing their psychosocial state as part of their physical rehabilitation, and incorporating pain education strategies into the treatment plan.

La elaboración de esta investigación nos ayudará a conocer mas ampliamente quienes son los pacientes que presentan kinesiofobia y de que manera afecta su funcionalidad, para luego poder mejorar los protocolos de tratamiento que ya tiene establecido cada institución de Salud. Teniendo en cuenta que va en aumento los pacientes biopsicosociales; y como esta condición afecta para su tratamiento y recuperación. Por lo tanto, con los resultados que se van a obtener nos podrán ayudar en conocer la cantidad de pacientes que sufren de kinesiofobia y que nivel, para así poder realizar protocolos de tratamiento especial para ellos, abordando su estado socio psicológico como parte de su rehabilitación física, implementando dentro del plan de tratamiento estrategias como la educación sobre el dolor.
