Level of knowledge and attitudes about the kangaroo mother method in mothers of preterm infants at San Juan De Lurigancho Hospital, 2021

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and attitudes about the kangaroo mother method in premature mothers in the Intermediate Neonatal service of the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital -Lima, 2021. A study will be used with a quantitative approach, with a type of basic observational, prospective, cross-sectional research, with a correlational level, with a non-experimental research design. The population was taken as mothers who have their premature babies hospitalized in the NICU area of ​​the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, which is why it will be made up of 30 mothers who attend the Kangaroo Mother Method Program, where observation and a questionnaire where two instruments will be used for the variable level of knowledge about the kangaroo breast method will be the questionnaire and for the attitudes variable one instrument will be a 10-item scale type questionnaire.

El estudio tuvo como propósito determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento y las actitudes sobre el método mamá canguro en madres de prematuro en el servicio de Intermedio Neonatal del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho -Lima, 2021. Se empleará un estudio con un enfoque cuantitativo, con un tipo de investigación básica observacional, prospectivo, transversal, con un nivel correlacional, con diseño de investigación no experimental. Se tomó como población a las madres que tienen a sus prematuros hospitalizados en el área de UCIN del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho por lo cual estará conformada por 30 madres que asisten al Programa del Método Mama Canguro, donde se utilizara como técnica la observación y un cuestionario donde se empleara dos instrumentos para la variable nivel de conocimientos sobre el método mama canguro será el cuestionario y para la variable actitudes un instrumento será un cuestionario tipo escala de 10 ítems.
