Workload and nursing care for diabetic patients in the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima 2022

Abstract

The workload is the accumulation of different activities that are accumulated on a day-to-day basis and that on many occasions can have an impact on the nursing care of diabetic patients who come to the emergency room, for this reason the following objective is proposed: "Determine the Relationship of workload and nursing care on diabetic patients from the emergency service and critical units of a public hospital in Lima 2022”. Methodology: The research approach is quantitative, correlational level scope, cross-sectional, non-experimental design; In the sample made up of 20 nurses in the emergency area, two questionnaires were used with polytomous alternatives and Crombach's alpha for reliability, for the occupational risk variable with 26 questions, the value of 0.80 was obtained and nursing care of 0.85, both instruments were validated by expert judgments and the reliability of both instruments presented high reliability.

La carga laboral es la acumulación de diferentes actividades que se van acumulando en el día a día y que en muchas ocasiones puede repercutir en el cuidado enfermero de los pacientes diabéticos que acuden a emergencias, por tal motivo se plantea el siguiente objetivo: “Determinar la relación de la carga laboral y cuidado enfermero sobre pacientes diabéticos del servicio de emergencia y unidades críticas de un hospital público de Lima 2022”. Metodología: El enfoque de la investigación es cuantitativo, alcance de nivel correlacional, corte transversal, de diseño no experimental; la muestra conformada por 20 enfermeras en el área de emergencia, se utilizó un cuestionario con alternativas politómicas para la variable carga laboral con 26 preguntas donde se obtuvo el puntaje de 0.80 y una guía de observación para cuidado enfermero con 20 ítems donde se obtuvo el valor de 0.85, ambos instrumentos presentaron fiabilidad alta.
