Self-care and quality of life in patients who receive hemodialysis in a hospital in the Callao region in 2023

Abstract

Self-care is the set of activities that a person carries out independently in order to maintain their health. Therefore, the Objective was proposed: Determine how quality of life is related to the knowledge that patients have. Materials and Methods: A hypothetical deductive, quantitative, non-experimental, transversal and correlational research will be followed. Population: object of study will work with the entire population since it is small according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Regarding the techniques is the observation technique and the reliability of the instruments will be used, with Cronbach alpha values of 0.842 for the first variable and 0.969 for the second variable, we evaluate the variable: “Self-care”, using the metric study of the Self-Care Requirements Scale (ERA), based on Dorotea Orem's theory and for the variable: “Quality of life”, we will use the Short Form Quality of Life Questionnaire in its SF-36 version. The survey will function as a data collection method and will be kept in an Excel spreadsheet. To evaluate the hypothesis, the Spearman evaluation test will be used.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relacionan la calidad de vida con el conocimiento que tienen los pacientes. Material y método: Se seguirá una investigación hipotético deductiva, cuantitativa, no experimental, transversal y correlacional, en cuanto a la técnica empleada técnica de observación y la confiabilidad de los instrumentos, con valores de alfa Cronbach de 0.842 para la primera variable y 0.969, emplearemos el Cuestionario de Calidad de Vida Short Form en su versión SF-36. La encuesta funcionará como método de recogida de datos y se llevaran en una hoja de cálculo Excel. Para evaluar la hipótesis, se empleará la prueba de correlación de Spearman.
