Nursing care and prevention of pressure injuries in bedridden patients in the ICU service at Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital 2021

Abstract

The present research work aims to determine how the nursing care of the nursing staff can prevent the appearance of pressure injuries in bedridden patients in the critical unit of the Ate Vitarte Hospital. It is explained how appropriate mobilization techniques and using the appropriate materials and accessories can prevent pressure injuries. In this way, we seek to demonstrate that there is a relationship between the knowledge of nursing staff about mobilization techniques for critically ill patients and can prevent pressure injuries in this type of patient. The study is carried out on critically ill and bedridden patients because according to statistics, these types of patients show a higher incidence of pressure injuries (PLP), also because PPL is considered an indicator that measures the quality of nursing care in patients.

El presente trabajo de investigación pretende determinar como el cuidado de enfermería del personal de enfermería puede prevenir la aparición de las lesiones por presión en pacientes postrados de la unidad critica del Hospital de Ate Vitarte. Se expone como las técnicas de movilización oportunas y usando los materiales y aditamentos adecuados se puede evitar las lesiones por presión. De este modo se busca demostrar que existe una relación entre el conocimiento del personal de enfermería acerca de las técnicas de movilización de pacientes críticos puede evitar las lesiones por presión en este tipo de pacientes. El estudio se realiza en pacientes críticos y postrados porque según las estadísticas este tipo de pacientes evidencian mayor incidencia de lesiones por presión (LPP), asimismo por considerarse a las LPP un indicador que mide la calidad de la atención de enfermería en los pacientes.
