Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of hospitalized patients in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, hospital Dos de Mayo, Lima 2022

Abstract

This investigative work developed the objective "Determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and satisfaction of the hospitalized patient in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Hospital Dos de Mayo in Lima, 2021". The study was raised from the practice of the nursing profession theorized by Leininger, which supports the patient-nurse interconnection and Orem's theory that establishes patient satisfaction from the action of the nurse with the human condition to meet the needs of the other. The study used the hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, non-experimental design, applied type and correlational-descriptiveobservational scope. The sample consisted of 152 patients hospitalized at Hospital Dos de Mayo, in the area of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery; to whom the SEQUAL test was applied to measure the nursing care quality variable and the PSI test for the customer satisfaction variable. The statistic used for data processing was SPSS 25.0.

Objetivo:. Determinar la relación entre la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y satisfacción del paciente hospitalizado en cirugía de tórax y cardiovascular. Material y método: La investigación es de tipo aplicada, responde al método hipotetico deductivo, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, alcance correlacional, la población que lo constituye hacen un total de 250 pacientes que se encuentran hospitalizados en el servicio de cirugía de tórax y cardiovascular del Hospital dos de Mayo, se obtuvo una muestra de 152, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y los instrumentos usados fue el test SERQUAL para la variable 1 y el test PSI para evaluar la variable 2, se hizo su validez de contenido y se sometió a juicio de expertos, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente de confiablidad alfa de crombach obteniendo un valor de 70% para el test SERQUAL y para el test PSI se obtuvo un valor de 75% el que indicó excelente confiabilidad. El procesamiento de datos se usara el paquete estadístico (SPSS) versión 25.0, asimismo se hizo uso del Excel para Windows 2021 en el vaciado de datos de acuerdo a una matriz estructurada como base de datos en relación al instrumento de medición.
