Level of knowledge of nursing activities during the COVID 19 pandemic and its relationship with perceived stress in the COVID intensive care unit at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen Hospital, Lima – 2022

Abstract

Objective: “Identify the relationship between level of knowledge and nursing stress during the pandemic in the COVID ICU.” Population: there will be 90 nurses who work in the COVID ICU unit of the Guillermo Almenara Hospital. Methodological design: correlational, cross-sectional observational, applied type, hypothetical-deductive method. Instruments: to evaluate the variable "level of knowledge" the questionnaire developed by: Becerra G Y and Pizán M. was applied and for the variable "stress" we will use the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire, both questionnaires were validated by a judgment of experts, whose reliability was through Cronbach's Alpha 0.859 for level of knowledge and 0.74 for stress. The technique that will be used will be observation and survey, after which the data will be processed and analyzed in the SPSS 24.0 software, using the Chi square test. And in turn, percentages will be obtained through descriptive statistics, in order to achieve the objectives set for both variables under study.

Objetivo: “Identificar la relación que existe entre nivel de conocimientos y el estrés de enfermería durante la pandemia en UCI COVID”. Población: será de 90 enfermeras(os) que laboran en la unidad de UCI COVID del Hospital Guillermo Almenara. Diseño metodológico: correlacional, observacional de corte transversal, de tipo aplicada, método hipotético deductivo. Instrumentos: para evaluar la variable “nivel de conocimientos” fue aplicado el cuestionario elaborado por: Becerra G Y y Pizán M. y para la variable “estrés” utilizaremos el cuestionario de Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), ambos cuestionarios fueron validados por un juicio de expertos, cuya confiabilidad fue mediante el Alpha de cronbach 0.859 para nivel de conocimientos y de 0.74 para estrés. La técnica que se utilizara será la observación y la encuesta, posterior a ello se procesaran y analizaran los datos en el software SPSS 24.0, utilizando la prueba Chi cuadrado. Y a su vez se obtendrá porcentajes mediante estadísticas descriptivas, con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos planteados para ambas variables en estudio.
