Prevention of adverse events by the nursing professional in the emergency service of a hospital in Huacho, 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the prevention of adverse events by nursing professionals in the Emergency Department.

Methodology: A quantitative study with a descriptive, cross-sectional design.

Population: The population consists of 25 nursing professionals from the Emergency Department of a hospital in Huacho, who will be selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample size was not calculated.

Data Collection Techniques and Instruments: The technique will be a survey, and the instrument will be a questionnaire titled "Prevention of Adverse Events by Nursing Professionals."

Procedures: Data collection will take place at the Essalud Huacho hospital, focusing on nursing professionals in the emergency department, and will be conducted in August 2021.

Validation: The instrument was subjected to an expert judgment test with an ordinal scale, and is therefore considered applicable to the study.

Reliability: To determine the reliability of the instrument, the Kuder-Richardson (KR 20) coefficient was used, with a result of 0.86, indicating that the reliability of the instrument is acceptable.

Objetivo: Determinar la prevención de eventos adversos por el Enfermería en el servicio de Emergencia. Metodología: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, siendo descriptivo de corte transversal. Población: la población está formada por 25 profesionales en enfermería del Servicio de Emergencia de un Hospital de Huacho, quienes de acuerdo a criterios de inclusión y exclusión serán seleccionados, no se calculó tamaño muestral. Técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de datos: la técnica será una encuesta y el instrumento será un cuestionario denominado “Prevención de eventos adverso por el Enfermería” Procedimientos: la recolección de dicha información se obtendrá en el hospital Essalud Huacho, en el Enfermería en el servicio de emergencia, el cual será ejecutada en agosto 2021 Validación: El instrumento como tal se sometió a una prueba de juicios de expertos con una escala ordinal, por lo tanto, se considera aplicable al estudio. Confiabilidad: Para determinar el grado de confiabilidad del instrumento, se usó el Coeficiente Kuder Richardson (KR 20), siendo su resultado 0.86, lo cual significa que la confiabilidad del instrumento es aceptable.
