Knowledge about hand washing and practice in nursing staff, intensive care unit in a private clinic, Lima - 2024

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice on hand washing in the nursing staff of the intensive care unit in a private clinic, Lima- 2024. Material and methods: The research will follow the quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. The population will be made up of 80 nurses. The technique to be used will be the survey and observation, the instruments that will be applied will be the questionnaire and the checklist, reliability was carried out using the KR20 for both instruments, obtaining the following results, for knowledge about handwashing with a value of 0.75 and hand washing practices with a value of 0.82, with these results were considered highly reliable, regarding the validity through expert judgment and the Aiken V test was applied, the result for the first variable was 0.74 and for the second variable it was 0.86, both considered valid. After obtaining the results, the information will be processed through statistical analysis with the SPSS version 27 program. To carry out the hypothesis testing, the Kolmogrov Smirnov normality test will be executed, then the statistical test to be used will be identified to be able to accept the hypothesis, if the value of “p” is less than 5% or reject it if the value of “p” is greater than 5%.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y practica sobre lavado de mano en el personal de enfermería de la unidad de cuidados intensivos en una clínica privada, lima- 2024. Material y métodos: Enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, el diseño no experimental, transversal, correlacional. Una población de 80 enfermeros. La técnica a emplear será la encuesta y la observación, los instrumentos que se aplicaran serán el cuestionario y la lista de cotejo, la confiabilidad se realizó mediante el KR20 para ambos instrumentos, obteniéndose los siguientes resultados, para la primera variable de 0.75 y el segundo variable de 0.82, considerados altamente confiables, respecto la validez mediante el juicio de expertos y se aplicó la prueba V de aiken el resultado para la primera variable fue de 0,74 y para la segunda variable fue 0,86 considerándose válidos. Luego se realizará el procesamiento de la información mediante el análisis estadístico, para la comprobación de hipótesis se ejecutará la prueba de normalidad de kolmogrov smirnov, después se identificará la prueba estadística a utilizar, para poder aceptar la hipótesis, si el valor de “p” es menor que el 5% o rechazar si el valor de “p” es mayor que el 5%.
