Influence of obstetric psychoprophylaxis on attitude during the active phase of labor in adolescent primigravidas at Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho in 2014

Abstract

The present research was conducted at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital with the objective of determining the influence of "Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis on Attitude During the Active Phase of Labor in Adolescent Primiparous Women at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital in 2014." Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive, observational, and cross-sectional study conducted with a population of 122 pregnant women. The influence of obstetric psychoprophylaxis on the attitude of pregnant women during the active phase of labor was compared between 54 women who received obstetric psychoprophylaxis and the group that did not. The instrument used for evaluation was a validated test to assess attitude during labor. Results: Of the participants who received preparation, 72% demonstrated good relaxation, while 96% of the group without psychoprophylaxis did not achieve good relaxation. Moreover, 80% of pregnant women with psychoprophylaxis breathed properly, compared to 94% of the group without preparation, who did not breathe properly. Additionally, 93% of the group with preparation identified and managed contractions, unlike the group without preparation, where only 28% identified and managed contractions. Among those prepared, only 20% required the presence of a person during labor, compared to 97% of the unprepared group who required someone by their side. Conclusion: Psychoprophylactic preparation significantly influences the attitude of adolescent pregnant women during the active phase of labor. Objetivo Determinar el nivel de satisfacción sobre calidad de atención del parto vaginal en puérperas inmediatas que acuden al Hospital Nacional María Auxiliadora entre agosto y setiembre de 2013. Material y métodos El trabajo de investigación es de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal. Resultado El 55,5 % de las puérperas inmediatas no se sintieron satisfechas con la atención recibida durante su parto. Con relación a las variables sociodemográficas, se tiene que el 56,5 % fueron mujeres adultas, el estado civil que más predomino fue el de conviviente, con 62,5 %. La mayoría estudió secundaria, en 80 %, y fueron multíparas en 66,5 %. Con relación a las variables de la dimensión de la calidad técnica, se tiene que no se presentaron complicaciones en 69 %; en oportunidad de atención, 57,5 %. En cuanto a las variables de la dimensión de la calidad humana se tiene lo siguiente: respeto, el profesional no se identificó, con 97,5 %. Fueron atendidas por internas de obstetricia en 78,5 %. No se pedía permiso para realizar procedimientos, con 73,5 %. No trataban con amabilidad, con 61 %. Confianza, 50 %; interés, 67,5 %; no comunicación, 52,5 %. Finalmente, las variables de la dimensión de entorno tuvo como resultado lo siguiente: comodidad, 67,5 %; implementación del ambiente, 74,5 %; limpieza, 65 %; orden, 85 %; no privacidad, 65 %. Conclusiones El nivel de satisfacción sobre calidad de atención durante el parto vaginal en las puérperas inmediatas fue menor del cincuenta por ciento.
