Emotional intelligence in the professional practice of nurses who work in the hospitalization service of a private clinic in Lima, 2020

Abstract

Aim. Determine the level of emotional intelligence in the professional practice of nurses who work in the hospitalization service of a private clinic in Lima, 2020. Materials and methods. A quantitative, cross-sectional, descriptive study was applied to a sample consisting of 55 nurses who were surveyed, and the Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS – 24) instrument was applied to them. The collected data were entered into a SPSS 24 program database; They were processed taking into account cut-off points established by the scale.

Objetivo. Determinar el nivel de inteligencia emocional en el ejercicio profesional de enfermeras que trabajan en el servicio de hospitalización de una clínica particular de Lima, 2020. Materiales y métodos. Se aplicó un estudio cuantitativo, transversal, descriptivo en una muestra constituida por 55 enfermeras a las que se encuestó, y se les aplicó el instrumento Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS – 24). Los datos recogidos se vaciaron en una base de datos del programa SPSS 24; se procesaron teniendo en cuenta puntos de corte que estableció la escala.
