Knowledge and practice of the nursing staff on the storage of sterile material in the green area of the sterilization center of the regional hospital of Ayacucho, 2022

Abstract

Introduction: the knowledge and practice of the nursing staff on material storage are important since they allow to guarantee the conservation of the sterilization; Likewise, it reduces infections caused by non-sterile material. Objectives: To determine the relationship between the knowledge and practice of the nursing staff on the storage of sterile material in the sterilization center of the Regional Hospital of Ayacucho, 2022. Methods: The study is of an applicative, quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional type. Sample will be adjusted by all the nursing staff in the sterilization center Hospital Regional de Ayacucho-2022, with a total of 42 nursing professionals. The 2020 Briceño questionnaire will be used for the objective population, they are validated and reliable to measure the variables in question. The collected data will be processed in SPSS 25, the hypotheses will be approved using the statistical test of Spearman's correlation coefficient given the qualitative nature of the variables.

El conocimiento y practica del personal de enfermería sobre almacenamiento de material, son importantes ya que permiten garantizar la conservación de la esterilización; así mismo, disminuye las infecciones producidas por material no estéril. Objetivos: Determinar la relación de los conocimientos y practica del personal de enfermería sobre almacenamiento de material estéril en central de esterilización del Hospital Regional de Ayacucho, 2022. Métodos: El estudio es de tipo aplicativo, cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal. Muestra estará ajustada por todo el personal de enfermería en central de esterilización Hospital Regional de Ayacucho-2022, siendo un total de 42 profesionales de enfermería y técnicos de enfermería. Se utilizará el cuestionario de Briceño del 2020, para la población objetiva, están validados y son confiables para medir las variables en cuestión. Los datos recolectados serán procesados en SPSS 25, las hipótesis se aprobarán usando la prueba estadística del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman dado la naturaleza cualitativa de las variables.
