Social skills in nursing interns for the 2019-2 period of the private university Norbert Wiener, Lima-2019

Abstract

Objective: Determine the level of social skills in nursing interns for the period 2019-2 at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima - 2019. Material and methods: Study with a quantitative approach, descriptive and cross-sectional design. The study worked with a total population of 71 nursing interns. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument used was the social skills scale (EHS) by Elena Gismero G. Results: Regarding the level of social skills, it was found that 41% of the nursing interns have the level average in social skills, while 32% have a low level and 27% have a high level. With respect to the 6 dimensions, most of the inmates obtained a medium level followed by low and high, except for the dimension "expression of anger and disagreement" and "making requests" which obtained a medium level followed by high and low. Conclusions: The level of social skills of the nursing interns from the 2019-2 period at Norbert Wiener University is medium, continuing from the low and high level.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de habilidades sociales en los internos de enfermería del periodo 2019-2 de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima – 2019. Material y métodos: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño descriptivo y de corte transversal. En el estudio se trabajó con una población total de 71 internos de enfermería. La técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta y el instrumento utilizado fue la escala de habilidades sociales (EHS) de Elena Gismero G. Resultados: En cuanto al nivel de habilidades sociales se encontró que el 41% de los internos de enfermería tienen el nivel medio en habilidades sociales, mientras que el 32% tienen el nivel bajo y el 27% tienen nivel alto. Con respecto a las 6 dimensiones en su mayoría de los internos obtuvo un nivel medio seguido del bajo y alto a excepción de la dimensión “expresión de enfado y disconformidad” y “hacer peticiones” que obtuvieron un nivel medio seguido del alto y bajo. Conclusiones: El nivel de habilidades sociales de los internos de enfermería del periodo 2019-2 de la Universidad Norbert Wiener es medio, continuando del nivel bajo y alto.
