Sociocultural factors and level of knowledge of mothers about newborn care in a National Hospital, 2022.

Abstract

Newborns are very vulnerable since they remain exposed, and the knowledge strengthened by the care provided to the newborn is of vital importance, reducing morbidity and mortality rates. Objective: To determine the relationship between sociocultural factors and the knowledge about newborn care that the mother of the Uldarico Rocca Fernández Hospital-Lima has - 2022. Methods: it will be carried out using the quantitative approach, the hypothetical application type, a descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational non-experimental method. The population and sample will be made up of 150 newborns from the joint accommodation service of the Uldarico Rocca Villa El Salvador Hospital - Lima. The sample will be taken between June and August 2022 using a survey that was created and validated in Ecuador in 2017 by Quilca. Data will be collected to be analyzed using non-parametric tests to distinguish the relationship between both variables in order to corroborate that sociocultural factors preserve a proportional relationship to the knowledge of the care offered to the newborn.

Los recién nacidos son muy vulnerables, puesto que permanecen expuestos siendo de vital trascendencia el conocimiento fortalecido con el cuidado que le brinda al neonato disminuyendo las tasas de morbi mortalidad. Objetivo: Determinar la relación de los factores socioculturales con el conocimiento sobre el cuidado del recién nacido que tiene la madre del Hospital Uldarico Rocca Fernández-Lima – 2022. Métodos: se realizará mediante el enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo aplicativo hipotético método no experimental descriptivo, de corte transversal y correlacional. la población y muestra estará formado por 150 recién nacidos del servicio alojamiento conjunto del hospital Uldarico Rocca Villa El Salvador – Lima. la muestra se tomará entre junio y agosto del 2022 utilizando una encuesta que fue creada y valida en Ecuador en el 2017 por Quilca, se recogerán datos para ser analizados mediante pruebas no paramétricas para distinguir la relación entre ambas variables con el propósito de corroborar que los factores socioculturales preservan una relación proporcionalmente al conocimiento del cuidado ofrecido al neonato.
